The Real PapaBear 0
I keep hearing how DK or AN Other wants to pick up RFC on the cheap either in the short term or after another admin event , exactly how cheap do they want us , the last share price was just over 27 p for Christ sake Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk and every share you buy pushes up the share price, so that if you want to end up with enough shares to control the club, you will have paid upward of who know what amount for each share 50p, 80p, 120p, 300p? It depends on what the sellers are willing to sell for, so once they knew a serious bid was underway they would raise the price accordingly; And all this money would not be going into the club, it would be going into the pockets of the ****** and ***** who own the shares now
Hildy 0
Yet 50p is still the asking price for those enquiring. What would the total cost be to buy the company at 50p a share?
D'Artagnan 173
Yep, it is our CEO who does it. And as it seems, the one doing it right now - and for the current (sic!) board at that - is probably doing his business job for the first time in ages. Can't understand what King is going on about since Friday. The ST deadline is end of May, the 120-day review is out any day now. People can decide for quite some time what to make of the review and any plans for future investment without King harping about in the background. As it stands right now, I wouldn't actually be surprised to see Ashley snapping up large chunks of our shares from now till the end of the summer and become a major shareholder, if not owner himself. From the reading of his statement on Friday DB he was suggesting that : (1) The review would not be published till after the ST deadline & (2) It was never the intention of the board to publish this until the ST deadline had elapsed.
The Real PapaBear 0
What would the total cost be to buy the company at 50p a share? it wouldn't remain at 50p a share. Every time you buy a share it pushes the price of the remaining shares up. Why is everybody having a hard time understanding this?
forlanssister 3,114
What would the total cost be to buy the company at 50p a share? Plus the cost of providing and/or obtaining the capital to move forward.

aweebluesoandso 290
I thought DK was going to war with the board, instead he's taking Churchill advice and Jaw jawing. This has been tried by the Requisitioners and proved to be fatal as a strategy.
Hildy 0
it wouldn't remain at 50p a share. Every time you buy a share it pushes the price of the remaining shares up. Why is everybody having a hard time understanding this? I know of someone who spent several million pounds buying shares in a certain company. Those shares are now worth a fraction of what he paid for them. They collapsed as soon as he acquired them and there is no indication that he will ever get his money back never mind make profit. Let's look at what it would cost to buy Rangers outright if Gersnet offered 50p a share. Forgery the theories - at 50p a share, how much to buy the company?

Zappa 0
It's obvious that his latest statement is only an attempt to deflect attention away from his comment that "I prefer(red) not to put money into Rangers if it could be found from other sources." Why would he try to deflect attention away from something which he's previously said in public anyway? Whilst this may well have been said in private, the fact that he has now confirmed that it is true, is quite damning IMHO. Damning? It's not even news. He made off the cuff remarks recently about how he would be investing his children and grandchildren's inheritance and that when he spoke to them about it they told him to go for it. He basically said that he'd rather not spend his children and grandchildren's inheritance if it wasn't necessary, but that he would invest it in Rangers if it's needed and he'd be doing so with the blessing of his family. What sort of mind tries to twist that into something which is "damning"? IMO King's real beef with the board is that they are yet again twisting his words and trying to make him out to be some sort of bad guy. It's all very much from the Toxic Jack school of PR and THAT is damning because he's not supposed to be working for the Club any more.....
