Did you read my post at all btw? Our STs are more expensive than going week to week, for the same seats.

Your cinema yearly ticket, as it more expensive than going every day for a year paying a single ticket? Because you pay for every day.

I will google when I have 5 mins and check cineworld for a single film and a yearly pass.

I doubt it is comparable. Bottom line is, they have robbed us blind for 2 years and want it to continue, no questions asked.

I am off to the butcher, I go every wednesday. Pay cash as well.

My point about Cinema tickets was more to do with what you get for your money - not the specific cost or payment plan. Season ticket holders seem to think that they have rights within the club (like a shareholder)....they are nothing more than a punter who has paid in advance for a product.

If you are not happy with the season ticket price or benefits of having one, you have a very simple choice - don't buy one. Get your ticket game-to-game - it is your choice. The club are not forcing ANYONE to sign up for a ST. They are stating, based on suggestions from outwith the club, that if upfront ticket money is not paid directly to the club, it could effect trading for the coming year. Don't see why that is so hard to grasp.

RANGERS legends Johnny Hubbard, Alex MacDonald, captain Lee McCulloch and young stars Fraser Aird and Calum Gallagher united at Ibrox today to launch the season ticket renewal campaign for 2014/15, the next stage of the journey back to the top flight of Scottish football.

Securing the SPFL League One title in record time this season, reaching the final of the Ramsdens Cup and competing in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup against Dundee United this weekend demonstrates the continued progress to re-establish Rangers at the top level.

Rangers fans have once again been tremendous in their support with more than 72,000 season tickets being sold in the past two seasons and an average attendance in 2013/14 of over 40,000, the seventh highest in British football.

The last two campaigns have seen a 33% decrease and a subsequent freeze in season ticket prices. This season as the club prepares to return to the top flight, challenge and re-establish Rangers at the top of Scottish football, we must invest further in all areas across the Club. An increase in season ticket prices is therefore necessary.

The club recognises it is the supporters who make Rangers truly special which is why although some prices are rising, there is more commitment than ever to making sure Rangers is accessible to all fans, families and the community.

To attract the next generation of supporters all juvenile prices in the Family Section are being reduced to just £50.

In addition, a limited number of value season tickets will be introduced, seeing the lowest adult price at Ibrox in more than 10 years.

These will be located in a dedicated area of the stadium to ensure no fan is priced out of being able to follow Rangers.

Engaging with supporters is one of the club’s main priorities and a full ‘Ready to Listen’ engagement programme is being developed in conjunction with the fans.

A key element will be the creation of club membership for next season and all season ticket holders will become founder members of this initiative.

Rangers Chief Executive Graham Wallace said: “We’ve come a long way already and we are pleased to be able to say that Rangers Football Club’s progress back to the top of Scottish football continues.

"Securing the SPFL League One title in record time, reaching the final of the Ramsdens Cup and competing in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup against Dundee United this weekend demonstrates this continued progress as we work to re-establish Rangers at the top level.

“Off the pitch, we are making good progress in repositioning the club and business to be capable once again of supporting our challenge at the top level of domestic and European competition.

“The journey, however, would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the Rangers fans.

“People talk about players having to earn their jersey, especially at Rangers. Well every season ticket holder at Ibrox has certainly earned their seat.

“Another exciting chapter in the history of this extraordinary club is about to begin. With the continued support of the Rangers community together with a strong sustainable business plan, we are putting in place the foundations for a future period of long term success and financial stability.

“I would like to thank our season ticket holders for the loyalty, commitment and passion they have shown. They are the very reason Rangers continues on its journey.”

Club skipper McCulloch added: “I was delighted to pledge my long-term future to Rangers when we played in Division Three last season and I want to play my part in our rise back to the very top of Scottish football.

“Rangers is a special football club and our fans have been magnificent throughout our journey so far.

"I dream of playing for this great institution at the very highest levels of the game and in Europe once again but first we have to negotiate the Championship, which will be a tough league next season.

"With the support of our fans we can rise again and I would like to thank all our season ticket holders for their continued backing.”

Rangers legend Hubbard said: “It was an honour and privilege to play for Rangers and this club will always be in my heart.

"Once a Ranger, you are always a Ranger and my love for this great institution grows every day.

"We have endured some difficult times in recent seasons but we are on our way back and I have no doubt we will be a major force in Scottish football once again.”
