The last time we played a Hugh line and pressed the opposition we won 8 nil. Fine if you're debunking is pretty much saying, "the last time we played really well, we played really well". Also interested in who on earth is 'bemoaning that Bayern don't play as bad football as us'. I would guess they didn't. we barely allowed them to have the ball. we didn't just play really well. we played in a materially different fashion to how we have played since. the keeper passed the ball out. the defense played on the half way line. the whole team chased for possession and broke with pace. we moved the ball quickly. it wasn't the same old tactics that happened to work for a change it was a whole different style and level of football. after 20 minutes we were 2 - 0 up and had created 20 chances on goal i counted. http://www.rangers.co.uk/match/match-reports/item/5180-rangers-8-0-stenhousemuir 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Dundee Utd are by no means unbeatable but McCoist needs to get his tactics and a gameplan spot on for Saturday. I dont quite understand this mentality though... Most of us are screaming out for youngsters to be played and given game time, especially as the league is won. But you consider that his successful season will be fulfilled, in part, if we remain unbeaten. Now, I know that we can remain unbeaten with the youngsters in the team but the chances of remaining unbeaten with a number of youngsters in the team diminishes. Are we prepared to accept a defeat in the league so long as the youngsters play ? I know they arent mutually exclusive but we need to make our minds up on whether it would be acceptable or not. Take McCoist's view.... if he hears that the fans want to remain unbeaten in the league is he more or lessl likely to go with youth ? We all know the answer. For me, the league is won, so after this Saturday's game give some of the older heads a rest (guys like Jig) and bring in the likes of Gasparotto. Give Black a rest and bring in Telfer. Give Daly a rest and bring in Gallacher or Dylan Dykes.
