der Berliner 3,885
Certainly food for thought. Between Ashley and King, my natural instinct is to trust King much more. At first glance, one would agree. At second glance, one would ask how King's business models worked and work. We know for sure that King has Rangers at heart. How much he has his money (and return) at heart is anyone's guess. 7% worth £200 million ... well well.

Maybe he did not give "us" any more money because he's thinking along the same lines as King?

der Berliner 3,885
Well, we buy a hell of a lot of merchandise. I was thinking along the lines of: why giving the then-board more money than needed (to waste/burn/run away with), if any at all. They apparently gladly took what he offered. Still a bit strange that there has been absolutely no movement on the naming-rights deal.

If these Ashley's rumours are true then I don't expect anything to happen until he sells Newcastle Utd and who knows when that will be as he seems to have been trying to do that for years now
