RANGERRAB 3,876
Fair point, Walter.Don't see our management team lasting long if he takes control. Ashley has previous in being ruthless. He'd set much higher performance targets for a start which they could never achieve. You're spot on

You're spot on laughable stuff. he wants to buy us. get us in the cl and make money out of it. good luck to him. Why not ? If Rangers were run properly with the right people in charge it should be a profitable business
the gunslinger 3,366
Why not ? If Rangers were run properly with the right people in charge it should be a profitable business and how will you extract a profit and still stay above celtc. it will cost 50 million to catch up if your lucky you might turn a profit of a million a year. how old is ashley?
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
A decent manager could assemble a team to challenge them without spending much. Spending anything like that when we get back up there would be suicidal. I'd rather get hammered by the tims than put ourselves financially at risk again.

Ser Barristan Selmy 222
It won't cost anywhere near £50m to catch up with Celt@c Given we have no scouts, make a lot of poor signings and don't have a decent manager, it probably will cost at least that.

der Berliner 3,885
Well, many a players' contract will run out in one or two years, so no fear that we'll have to see anything like today for the medium term future. Likewise, it's not that the Yahoos are littered with quality. They are just about good enough to beat the top tier teams and their "quality players" won't stay forever either. In this day and age you don't actially have "to pay" 40 or 50m to assemble a good squad, if you know the way and find some quality folk as well. While our current set up is hardly ideal, who can say for sure what happens between now and Autumn 2015 (on either side of the Clyde, BTW).
