Unfortunately it seems to be that when group relations have fallen down (perhaps due to irreconcilable differences) then statements seem to be the only way of them communicating.

What starts off as FF/SoS v RM/VB soon becomes RST v RF moving onto RFFF v NARSA.

It's laughable.

Rangers Unite - it wanted everyone to unite to achieve fan ownership - but deliberately excluded the one organisation - the RST - that was set up to do just that.

This isn't laughable, it's pathetic.

Seems slightly OTT, but it's good to see that NARSA have at least managed to keep their statement civil.

Have to say though, I'm quite surprised that they state they'll "demand the immediate return of all monies donated" which was "in excess of $80,000 USD" if they don't get their way and see RFFF committee resignations by Friday.

Requesting resignations is one thing, but as others here have already mentioned, given that a large chunk of the monies donated to the RFFF have already been used, it seems somewhat unrealistic and unfair to state that you'll demand the repayment of your donation in full.

There is a clear possibility that the RFFF money will be needed in the future - perhaps even the near future.

The fact that it is there - largely unspent - could be compared to a country having a nuclear defence capability.

It might never get used, but it makes the actions of others a lot less likely.

It means that we have the ability to defend ourselves. We don't have that guarantee via the Club at present.

A funny thing happens to people when they know there is a large pot of money sitting dormant, it plays on their minds and this is a great example of that. Without a defined purpose the RFFF pot will be brought up as soon as there's an issue which may require financial assistance to solve.

A mission statement from the RFFF would clarify a few things.

There has to be an element of trust when you are looking after cash. The fact that they are suggesting expenditure on something that arguably has nothing to do with the club erodes that trust.

It's nothing to do with the fact a vote has gone against them but rather the nature of what they were voting on. If it had been on whether the cash should be spent on refurbishing the ground for example, there would be no call for resignations.

What a load of tosh. The RFFF state they will CONSULT their members regarding a PROPOSAL to do something and NARSA want resignations? Deary deary me. Two small but vociferous groups with an agenda NARSA and Vanguard Bears. The dhims must be laughing their heads off.

I do not think the RFFF was ever going to be used to support CH / SOS financially. I think the announcement that it would go to a vote was merely to show the former convicted VAT fraudster that his bully bhoy tactics may not be tolerated.

It appears that was successful. Much ado about the square root of fuck all imo. Nice to see narsa gwtting so animated about our own though.

NARSA is small? LOL.

The RFFF has members? Do they have a list of them?
