Zappa 0
Tuesday, 25 March 2014 11:00 Finnie Signs Gers Deal Written by Andrew Dickson RANGERS have signed Scotland under-19 defender Ryan Finnie on a short-term deal until the end of the season. Paperwork was completed on the agreement before the close of business last night and that means he can play as a registered player in today’s under-20 fixture at Hibernian. He could even start the match due to injuries elsewhere as the Light Blues look to move top of the table following Celtic's 1-0 loss to Dunfermline yesterday. Finnie actually turned out for Gordon Durie’s team as a trialist in a league game with Dundee United a fortnight ago as he played the final 27 minutes as a substitute. He showed some good touches in the 1-0 victory and did enough then and in training to earn himself an initial contract with a view to agreeing extended terms for next campaign. Having only just turned 19 last month, he would be eligible to play as an under-20 player next season and continue his development in Durie's squad. Finnie arrives at the club having last been at Hamilton Accies, whom he left in January following one appearance for them in 2013/14. That came last September against Alloa and he also enjoyed a loan period at Dumbarton in the first half of 2012, playing 14 times including 11 starts. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/academy-news/item/6612-finnie-signs-gers-deal
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
Short term deal? Is it possible he has just been signed to help win the u20 league?
stewarty 2,060
If he has played unders for Scotland he must have a reasonable pedigree. A short term contract sounds ideal to see if it will work out for us both. Welcome, young man!

alexscottislegend 2,401
Is that the same Finnie who was on the bench for Scot U17 at Rugby Park on Monday? If so, you have to wonder why Accies binned him.
Zappa 0
Injured already. He's been subbed after falling awkwardly following a fair challenge in the U20 game against Hibs.

Waltersgotstyle 307
He wasn't released by Hamilton - it appears to have been mutual, who knows maybe we have been interested in him for a while.
