I think Davies would bore us to tears. He may well be slightly better than Ally but I would be hoping for someone far more adventurous. He did a good job at Derby one year and has had flashes of good moments at Forest.

Id have Jimmy Calderwood all day long ahead of Davies but even JC isn't high up on the list.

Malky MacKay would be terrific and top my choice at the moment.

bottom line is.....you never know how good/bad a manager will be until he starts working with the players - look @ Moyes!!!

McInnes has been touted as a promising manager....did anyone REALLY expect him do do as well @ Aberdeen as he has???

Big things were expected of PLG, that never really materialised

Terry Butcher did well @ Caley, so far not impressed @ Hibs

Davies track record may fluctuate, but he may turn out to be the next Mourinho/Fergie for RFC.....he may also turn out worse than McCoist.

Far from my first choice but he's still better than Ally

I would be better than colin and so I suspect is Ally.

There would also be a danger putting greens pal colin in. Especially given both of there alleged liking for removal of cash. Colin being accused of charging players to play recently by a former player and we'll chuck being chuck.

A man with 7 promotions in English football, 3 of them into the top flight?

His personality damages his popularity no doubt and he'd be a short term measure for us at best, but he really isn't that bad a manager
