Waltersgotstyle 307
Such a big fuss over nothing. If they sell their allocation we give them more - but we all know they won't.
calscot 0
So in a semi against Celtic they sold very close to 1/3 of what their fans are demanding... We are definitely by far the main show in town.
Scott7 6,223
the arab hibs feared a drubbing from the tims. They sense, however, they may have a chance against Rangers in their present state so a few more of them might turn out if it's a nice day so they can tell their descendants "ah wuzz at Ibrox the day we beat the famous Rangers efturr extra time." The record books won't show that Rangers were a crippled ghost of their normal selves. Nor that all five arab penalties were offside.
CammyF 8,559
I think this has been posted iby someone else in another thread - call their bluff - 25, 000 tickets , payment up front and no return facility
simplythebest 0
A good statement from the SFA never thought i'd be saying that
Little General 80
They know they can't sell 11,000 tickets, so request 20,000 just so Rangers fans can't attend. It's Thompson's poor attempt at getting back at Rangers fans.
26th of foot 6,126
I have listened to Thompson's reply to the SFA statement on BB Radio Scotland. He claims the SFA statement is economical with the truth and misrepresents the United position. Further, they have not been offered any set amount, let alone declined. They have not demanded 20,000 tickets. Restated Ibrox is not a neutral venue, he did make comment in October, and will NOT sit in the Directors' Box at Ibrox. He will be attending with family and feels it is safer to sit among his fellow Arabs. He does not want to inflame the situation. It is not about Rangers! It is about the SFA, wants a signature block on their statements and wants dialogue. Spiers largely agrees with Thompson, thinks 14,000-17,000 ticket allocation is acceptable, remembers Thompson making negative comment in October. Derek Ferguson thinks the semi-final should be moved to Easter Road.
aweebluesoandso 290
Skelator Thompson has forgotten the old maxim "when you're in a hole stop digging". What a complete embarrassment he has made of himself and his club. Which is nice.

Further, BBC Scotland's Jane Lewis and Connie McLaughlin(sister of Chris) have been all over social media today, pushing the Arab case. They have been playing Groupies at John Hartson's golf day.
