simplythebest 0
Sounds like it but again seems strange. Why is the 120 days now relevant when it wasn't prior to the talks and prior to the card display at the w/e? I hope that the dircetors realise that they don't have to wait until the end of the 120 days before they implement stuff. They can do it at any point. The lack of apparent progress suggests that they aren't getting on too well. I guess he's talked to them and concluded the situation isn't as drastic as he seemed to fear
Bluedell 5,689
"No one should be in any doubt that this public statement and commitment is significant and should be appreciated as such. "Statements from a public company board are intended to be relied upon so in a couple of weeks we can expect a business review that will reflect the board's ambition and a funding plan to achieve this. "We can also rely on the fact that if circumstances change the board would be bound to advise the public in advance of this." The board will make a statement. The board composition will change slightly. The new board then say that it was the old board that made that statement and the new one will have to investigate further. I am deeply concerned that King is placing reliance on board statements. Did he learn nothing from the fact that statements by Whyte and Green were also PLC announcements and were ultimately meaningless?
der Berliner 3,860
Well, King spoke to them face to face, which is what most of us (King included) wanted. He's an astute business-man and will sure be able to read people of his ilk. So maybe we just sit back for a little longer (no harm done here) and wait what comes out of the 120 days stuff.

Do you think King is some sort of naive country girl fresh off the bus? He will not give any credence to anything this board says without something concrete to back it up. Just because there are a number of gullible fans who seeme to believe anything they are told, there's no reason to think King is one of them. You don't become a multi-millionaire by being stupid.
amms 0
It's a very carefully worded statement and it took three days to compose. That in itself is telling.
BrahimHemdani 1
I really like the stills story. As for their lawyers, based on FF it looks like people are just going to refer to his factual true previous conviction instead of the S word, so not sure what they can do about that. Nothing at all.
chilledbear 16
Anyone good at reading between the lines?
BrahimHemdani 1
Anyone good at reading between the lines? Basically, they've called his bluff and he's making the best he can of it.
BrahimHemdani 1
Is he going to make plan A work without the board's cooperation? That is what he should be coming out with now, He can't and he knows he can't so it's dead in the water.
