Much as I hate to see regular fans being squeezed out by once in a lifetime visitors, I can understand why this happens.

When will Dundee United ever win the league again? They managed it once but it may never happen again. Overcoming both Rangers and Celtic over the course of a season is a tall order for provincial clubs, so realistically, the Cups are their only real shots at glory - and look at Hibs - the last time they won the Scottish Cup, the Titanic wasn't even an idea on the drawing board.

For Dundee United and the rest, the Scottish Cup is their Manchester. Demand often outstrips their average attendance by a long way, but I think we have to accommodate them.

To us, another domestic trophy is never very far away, but for them, it could be a lifetime coming.

That's why they turn up in huge numbers when they get close to it.

Dundee United blew nine-man Inverness away to storm into the Scottish Cup semi-finals.

Att: 3,164

And now they want 20k?

But, but, but ... that was played in Inverness!

Rest assured, the stewards and the police will need to be up for this game, as hundreds of malcontents will want to hurl abuse at and gloat about us that day ... and hope that DU hammer us. That said, they will most likely not be able to do that, if they cannot even fill their own ground.

Anyhow, I have no problem if any opposition team asks for what they would be due at Hampden et al anyway. That's the basic rules of the cup.

Should tickets not be allocated as a pro rata of the average home attendance? They may have 20000 wanting to go to see Rangers but why do 12000 of them who don't go to any other game deserve to go more than Rangers fans who go to every game?

The thing about the Arabs demands is that they come across as self centred idiots, and these are their "leaders". Is this the type of mentality in Scotland these days?

It was funny to hear their simple-sounding spokesman on the wireless last night - Pete's 'village idiot' sprang to mind - seriously suggesting that it was Rangers & celtc who stitched up the whole thing from the start. Of course, we really run the game in Scotland, hence our bouyant position at the apex of things.

1 - We plainly don't run anything, we don't even have a vote.

2- If we did, we'd be outvoted by other clubs who would disagree if we said the sky was blue.

3- Dundee Utd, as their fans, had the chance to change things when we got booted out the SPL and the 11-1 vote system was in their favour. They shat it then, they can hardly blame us.

I listened to BBC Scotland's Sportsound last evening, hosted by former Dundee United fanzine Editor, Jum Spence. We know Jum is truly objective on matters Rangers and last night's broadcast was not a disappointment. Guests were the ever objective Tom English and Billy"I no longer consider myself a Rangers supporter"Dodds. In fact, Jum introduced Billy as, "a former Arab legend". On the telephone was Chair of the Arab's Trust, Mike Barile.

It was an exercise in masturbation.

Jum knows the United Board are about to demand 20,000 tickets and Mike demanded the semi-final be played at a neutral venue. Both Tom and Billy supported the call for neutrality and sincerely hoped(in Tom's case) that Dundee United receive every ticket they ask for from the SFA. Now, we know the club does not speak to BBC Scotland; however, the Beeb has NEVER been slow to indulge in several dozen voxpops outside Ibrox these last few years. What happened to at least pretending to present a balanced view?

Well, on the other hand, how many* would have called for a different venue should the Yahoos had reached any of the two cup national competitions they started in?

Maybe King gives us some more money and we start a Rangers Radio in the West of Scotland and online?

*Not just us.

On the face of it, a Rangers radio station seems like a good idea, but how comfortable would it be airing fan complaints and grievances about almost every aspect of the club?

How relaxed would it be broadcasting the growing view that McCoist can't cut it and never will?

Our own radio station is fine, but there is a danger that it could turn into a Rangers version of Radio Clyde. A station which never tolerates a dissenting view would be no better than the one-eyed garbage currently served up by both Clyde and BBC Scotland.
