Super Cooper 0
A nice Trattoria would be top class. Would that be Italian? If so then a huge thumbs up from us mate!

BrahimHemdani 1
If wee Miko goes next time he shouldnt pay either Yes indeed. Just to make it clear however, SC and I discussed this by PM beforehand and the problem I had with the restaurant was two-fold: (a) it was a very good price to start with and (b) the low numbers. Bear in mind that for long enough we weren't in double figures. I am sure that we will get 20 plus next time so one non-paying or even say nominal price child will not be an issue. I feel the first one went well but we will also learn from it.
Mountain Bear 0
A nice Trattoria would be top class. I thought the tapas was top class, but a good Italian restaurant would suit me too, if folk fancy a change. Maybe Dave Smith could have a word with Amo and see when he's back in town! I'm sure we will have a poll whenever something's organised. Amo is a great idea. Edited May 4, 2014 by bluebear54
BrahimHemdani 1
I'll do a poll for time of year and then we can consider exact dates and venue. I'd like to go back to Malaga Tapas because I think he did us proud and should get a chance to get a bigger crowd next time; but obviously the majority will decide.
the gunslinger 3,366
I spoke to Davie Smith yesterday about the possibility of getting some of his old colleagues e.g. Colin Jackson and Tam Forsyth along to the next one and he seemed to think that Willie Johnston at least wouldn't be an issue. I'll liaise through FS in due course. Tell them we will buy them all the bread they can eat happily.
the gunslinger 3,366
TBH Cristobal miscalculated a bit and we got a real bargain (effectively got the paellas for nothing, although he got £150 for the beer and wine, so he wasn't complaining) so it's bound to go up a bit anyway. Agree about paying for extra meals although it will depend on whether any come for the meal or just for the bread at the end, like DS! All that's assuming folks want to go back there. It was a phenomenal amount of food for the money.
