Rangers board demand a meeting with King

It's interesting, and I suspect an invitation designed to seize the initiative and place Dave King on the back foot.

If King declines, he is open to all sorts of accusations.

If he accepts, he is seen to be in a state of compliance.

This variation on 'when did you stop beating your wife' is best ignored.

It's also a bit of an 'epic fail' from Somers, the board and their clueless PR wizard Jack Irvine because this doesn't seem to have gone down very well, even with some of the folk who were willing to give the current incumbents a chance.

Somers and the rest of 'the board' would have better served the Club by speaking to Dave King privately and coming to an agreement with him, so this latest nonsense (in a long line of nonsense), is quite embarrassing.

Why the hell would King attend any meeting they had 'summoned' him to, to explain his comments like some little kid being reprimanded? Like they have explained themselves to him every time he has asked - aye right!

You can imagine Easdale No 1 trying to look intimidating, while pulling back wee Jack's lead (and nearly strangling him with his own studded collar). Mr Wallace would obviously play 'good cop'. Meanwhile Easdale No 2 is out in the car park letting Dave's tyres down, and putting 'Go by [McGill] bus' leaflets on his Daimler windscreen.

Tail wagging the dog? This pendulum surely swings both ways? So far, the board - since the AGM - reacted to King's constant antics and accusations. Maybe someone should have given King the right phone numbers?

Serenely blissful!
