forlanssister 3,114
Was he working for anyone when he came to us? No iirc he was unemployed for circa 8 months. Oh, there's no doubt that he's being well compensated, but that's not really the point. Even if he has the potential to be a good CEO for the Club I think he's wrongly being seen by some fans as the guy who's now running the Club, but we know that's really not the case. Everyman and his dog knows Sandy Easdale is running the show but the fact remains Wallace is happy and content to indulge in the charade for £6k per week.

Agreed and patsy or not, he certainly needs to start earning his coin because his number one priority should be trying to get the Club whipped into shape and on the right track, but we're not seeing much in the way of signs that he's doing that.
Super Cooper 0
The real test is still to come this summer when we'll see if new players are signed for the new season in the Championship which will be much harder than these last two seasons. How can we buy players when we are running at a £14m annual loss and allegedly losing £1m per month? Buy players with what? If anything, it's cuts we need.

It's the £10m non playing staff wage bill which needs cut

It's the £10m non playing staff wage bill which needs cut It's been cut, by a few million. Our player wage bill too may be only 30% of overall turnover but no one will ever convince me it's right playing at this level with guys on £10k a week, even half of that is repulsive. We have guys sitting in the stands doing f all every week earning thousands per week. That is every bit as bad as whatever money crooked directors took last year.

We're not seeing it because it's not happening, him having any power whatsoever was never in the job description. No conventional CEO would ever have agreed that the Laxey deal could ever be the best option let aone is the best option.

We don't know for a fact that Wallace actually thought the Laxey deal was the best option though, do we? He could easily have been outvoted or pressured into it. Bottom line though is that Graham Wallace isn't actually running the club and the fans who think he is running the club really need to waken up.
BEARGER 1,830
Long winded statement that says nothing and gives us the same amount of new information. Wallace is just another with his nose in the trough.

He could easily have been outvoted or pressured into it. It's irrelevant whether he actually thinks it is or not as he's put his name to stating it is. I doubt he was outvoted as there isn't really any need for a vote when playing a game of Sandy Says. Bottom line though is that Graham Wallace isn't actually running the club and the fans who think he is running the club really need to waken up. Indeed.
