Rangers Supporters Association, Assembly and Trust - Statement

The Rangers Supporters Association, Assembly and Trust have been contacted by a number of Rangers supporters, who are also current shareholders, indicating they would have provided a secured loan of £1.5m on more favourable terms than the combined Laxey Partners/ Easdale loans. The terms of the Laxey loan in particular seem unduly onerous.

 

We are concerned that not all shareholders are being treated equally. Fans and shareholders both deserve an explanation as to why other shareholders were not approached to provide this loan.

 

The 3 groups call on Rangers, or the NOMAD Daniel Stewart, to clarify the matter. Either in public or through a direct meeting with fan representatives. We have contacted both companies with our concerns.

 

Disappointing that they aren't also asking for the Club to clarify whether the other credit facility for £2.5m has been, is being or is going to be used.

Norman Crighton (the Arab on the board) was placed on the board at Laxey's insistance as he himself admitted, he chairs the laughably named "Investment Committee", he appears to be serving his masters Laxey at the expense of everyone else when he has a fiduciary duty to all shareholders.

I posted a few days ago asking where this requirement for a loan left Wallace. It appears Wallace is happy enough to lend his name to anything, only a matter of time before he gets his £300k payoff.

I think that's a good statement that leaves the Board with some questions to be answered, not that they will. Ready to Listen only applies sometimes, I'll bet.

Perhaps the fan groups should give regular updates on all communications with Rangers regarding this latest debacle.

 

The pressure has to go on and stay on. We need a published time and date for a meeting with the CEO or other relevant party, and it needs to be soon.

Did anyone honestly think that Wallace was anything more than a puppet for his masters? If they sack him, he will only get replaced with some other muppet, who does what he's told. He can stick his 120 day grace period up his arse as far as I'm concerned.

Bottom line is the fans/fans groups influence/wishes amount to zero with this board.
