Zappa 0
Cammy Bell saves Rangers in the last minute (Willie Vass) Copyright: 2014 Willie Vass More... I've just realised that in this photo the Stenny player is actually trying to boot Cammy Bell out of the way!
Super Cooper 0
Brushed off as a mans game, i can hear Keevins just now "this is a team moaning about dirty tackles who have Ian Black and Lee McCulloch in it" No one is interested in refs being blatantly biased against us or our players being the victims of horrific fouling. We have been getting kicked off the park since we arrived in the lower leagues, no one cares, we are simply expected to dust ourselves down and get on with it. If the shoe was on the other foot and Lennon was our manager and we were all Celtic fans you just know these diddy teams would not be getting away with this sort of behaviour. Our players are sadly seen as targets, fair game and easy.
Scott7 6,503
The Iron Curtain + Willie Rae. Willie Waddell Bobby Shearer Harold Davis Don Kichenbrand John Greig Jimmy Millar Tam Forsyth Colin Jackson No one tried to kick them off the park. Those who tried it with McMillan and Baxter were "cautioned" by Mr Davis. The point is you need a few men of steel in the team. McCulloch is the only one who comes close to being an apprentice to the above mentioned.
der Berliner 4,035
We all saw what transpired, yet the only player booked for Stenny was their penalty-scorer ... and IIRC for doing the dirty stuff after scoring the penalty.
TheTinMan99 0
As someone alluded to earlier in the thread, we lack an enforcer that other teams fear. Black's been getting thrown about like a wee lassie since the day he joined us. We need a Hurlock type for these leagues.

TheTinMan99 0
a rangers player like that would be off every week. It would be a small sacrifice if it stopped our skilful players getting booted up and down the park every week. Get 3/4-0 up, and let him half someone in two. Word soon gets around that we won't be fucked with. We would probably need a suitable back-up for the inevitable bannings.
der Berliner 4,035
Well, games and refs like Saturday's are few and far between. Whether such a hardman would help to get an even better standing in the table is up for debate. Thing is, we have quite a few hard men in the side, but for some reason they "behave" far too much. McCulloch or Daly for starters. Of course, once Black gets a nasty tackle in, those who like to give him flak will go into overdrive.
Super Cooper 0
Black is not a hard man, he is a dirty little c*nt and built like the side of a fiver. You could blow him over. Daly has been thrown around and bullied by the cloggers of the 3rd tier also, he isn't hard in any sense of the word. Jig may be our hardest but even then, he has also been targeted by the part time hammer throwers, he certainly wouldn't scare me coming up against him. We don't have a proper enforcer or hard man.
