Euro 2016: Home nations await qualification draw

Recommended Posts

I would love to see us play RoI at Ibrox. Can't believe the negativity here. Ireland man for man are not as good as us - they have no Robbie Keane now. Both our keepers are better too. Otherwise not much difference. Would love to see McCarthy and the other traitors get stuffed. Shamefully there are Scots who support Celtic who want to cheer on Ireland.

Why?,we are pish!.

FWIW, I hope Scotland qualify, just can't see it.

We have improved massively and are up to 34th. Over 30 places higher than the rest bar Germany.

I agree, on current form (and continued improvement) we should be capable of qualifying.

However, the biggest question is how long will the queue be to get into Gibraltar?

Edit: Gibraltar's main stadium, the 5,000 capacity Victoria Stadium, does not meet Uefa's requirements to be able to host competitive international fixtures, so they will play European qualifiers at the Estadio Algarve in Portugal. Gibraltar, taking part for the first time after being accepted as a Uefa member last year, were initially drawn to play against Spain but were moved to Group D to keep the two teams apart and avoid exacerbating political tensions. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26207723

The Estádio Algarve is an association football stadium located between Faro and Loulé, in Portugal and the home of Louletano Desportos Clube, who play in the Campeonato Nacional de Seniores. The Estádio Algarve is also the temporary home ground of Gibraltar national football team[2] and it also hosts the final match of the Algarve Cup, a major annual international tournament in women's football. From 2004 to 2013, Louletano shared the stadium with Sporting Clube Farense. The stadium has a capacity of 30,002, and was built for the Euro 2004 tournament. Aside from football, it has also hosted music festivals and concerts, and was temporarily converted into a super special stage during the 2007 Rally Portugal (part of the 2007 World Rally Championship season). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Est%C3%A1dio_Algarve
