All these schemes and all the different supporters associations are getting us nowhere. As a support we have never been more divided. If only we had a football club we could put our money into rather than this scheme or that scheme. What a shambles.

We are a laughing stock and will be in no position to challenge Celtic with so much friction and division within our support.

Why don't we all just get together, as one and force the board out? Get the people out we don't trust and get in people we do trust and we are willing to get behind financially.

I do wonder how much money our club is losing through the so many negative factors sweeping the club right now from the product on the park, to the mediocre shirts we sell to the board we have in the directors box. I don't blame anyone for walking away from that, it's a mess and exactly what those who despise everything about us wanted.

We'll have to wait and see.

While it may seem like mental divisiveness from an online perspective, the latest scheme sets out to get the ball rolling and build up a head of steam. It certainly aims to buy a size of shareholding which would force the club into taking note of supporter opinion, but it also has as a feature of its business model the ability to thereafter dangle before the club tempting offers, like for talking's sake the funding of a scout in Germany for two years or something. That in itself gives the movement more clout, more exposure, and the ball becomes a snowball, if you see what I mean.

So the money can be used for other things but it's hardly things like holidays in St Lucia for office holders or anything like that - it's for ideas which both strengthen the hand of the fan group viz a vis the club's owners, and helps the club itself. Seems fair enough to me.

Whether it works or not there's no way of telling, I am suspicious of anything Jim Spence is in favour of given his struggles with reality; but rather than giving up, we owe it to the club we love to at least have one go. After that, I wouldn't blame anyone for walking away - but not without trying.

The fans will never agree and to be honest I wouldn't want a lot of our fans having any input in the way we are run.

I mean you have one message board (here quite rightly) recognising we are in trouble and the loan is a joke that will unlikely have a happy ending.

Then you have another big message board that are all trying to claim this is a good thing!

Even on Facebook, if you disagree with the way things are going at the moment, you are immediately labelled a Paul Murray fan. Me? I don't trust any of them!

I've always been an advocate of fan ownership. Written about it, talked about it, promoted it but sadly this is correct. Some will disagree but the Rangers support is not cut out for democracy or responsibility. Dave King and the likes are our only hopes......and even then they prefer political mind games over getting the job done.

Maybe I'll win big on the Euromillions and become the friendly dictator.

Socialist concepts in capitalist countries. This will end well........

As noble an idea that fan ownership is, the fact we can't even organise one vehicle for it kinda says it all.

One of the really sad things about it all is that the best national and global publicity method for fan ownership at Rangers is online social media, messageboards, websites etc, but it's these same fantastic platforms which are holding it back because of personal crap, inter-site and rival group squabbles that aren't even fit for a playground cat-fight half of the time, never mind fit for Rangers.

I apologise then, Bearsger. I thought you had asked and been answered the same before, (I frequent FF too so I may be confusing forums.)

Anyway, the basic point is that l read your post as biased to one side (slanted) and intended to put one in a bad light.

Seems I read it wrongly, so - sorry.

No problem. Do you think one of the insiders from either scheme will come on here and give definitive answers?

That's quite a statement.

Are we too thick, too afraid or are we incapable of taking responsibility due to a particular cultural aspect of our identity?

As a collective we're too gullible and soft for a start. As a collective we will turn on each other and let outsiders have a free rein over the club's affairs. In my experience I haven't seen any evidence that we can look after our club together.
