bluebear54 0
He's grown up a lot. Today he had chunks kicked out of him and he just moved on. He was by far our best midfielder today. When we have the wherewithal to buy and fund the wages of a better midfielder I'll listen. For the moment, he's doing a good job. Thinking about it, this season he's a lot more consistent than, for example, Steve Davies was.

It takes a huge amount of effort and a bit of time to get moving. To be fair to Black though, he does compete well in the air and regularly wins balls against larger opponents.
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
On his day - as good a midfielder as any one in Scotland. Used to give our midfield the run around when at hearts. I hope he can reach that level again. As good as say, Commons? No chance. An SPL plodder and I don't really recall him giving our midfield the run around. The only Hearts player I can recall us giving the run around on any occasion was Templeton and that was as much down to Whittaker's inadequacy. Maybe you mean he kicked our players all over the park? PS - I've already said this on here recently but if you find yourself in the SPL at 26 having never played in England or the OF then rarely will you be up to much. Bar the odd exception like Weir. One more thing, the likes of Black and Daly are our better players but if we hope to play them in the long term then we better get used to doings from the tims and gutter in the Europa. They are the equivalent of middle of the road third teir English players.

Absolutely and Nicky Clark is surprisingly good in the air too. I like to see the smaller guys winning headers over their larger opponents. Steven Naismith was an excellent example in recent years. Always up there for a header.

Kyle "did" him on a few occasions today, I think the entire Ayr team subs included took their shot at him.
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
Surprised Kevin Kyle still bothers playing. Absolute abomination of a football player. 53 league goals in his entire career. Almost seems the type of player we'd sign. Oh wait... Some centre halfs probably out score him.

As for Commons he must be the most overrated player ever to kick a ball in Scotland. A middle of the road unfit Englishman who was a nobody in the championship. Ser Barristan Selmy 222
Just the 22 goals for Commons this season. He was a quality player in the championship as well. The season he left Derby he was one of the top scorers in the championship at the time.
