Zappa 0
11 Feb 2014 09:32 PERALTA is part of the Hondurus squad looking forward to the World Cup finals this summer but the South Americans' build-up clashes with the date of this season's cup final. ARNOLD Peralta will face a club v country dilemma if Rangers reach the Scottish Cup Final. Ally McCoist’s men will earn a semi-final on home turf if they see off Albion Rovers in the last eight at Ibrox next month. But if they reach the showpiece at Parkhead on May 17 they will have to plead with Honduras to allow Peralta to join their World Cup build-up later. The Hondurans have just announced they will be preparing for the finals at a month-long training camp in Miami. That starts on May 12 so Peralta would miss the cup final if the Honduran FA aren’t flexible. McCoist will have to hope Peralta’s national boss Luis Fernando Suarez allows the midfielder to delay his departure by a week. Honduras face France, Switzerland and Ecuador in the World Cup and Peralta is a cert for their squad. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-star-arnold-peralta-facing-3133047
Super_Ally 0
How long do they get to build up for the finals. Seems excessive.
Zappa 0
How long do they get to build up for the finals. Seems excessive. Tournament starts on 12 June and the first Honduras match will be on 15 June.
stewarty 2,025
Can't see us worrying unless we make the final. And even then, only assuming he isn't suspended...
Waltersgotstyle 307
Might not need him to be honest.
JTP 0
I'd let him go. Permanently.
Anchorman 0
I'm not sure what he brings to the fold. He seems keen enough and can hit the odd dead ball but I don't what his best position is. If you were to put him in a Dunfermline shirt for example I'm not sure I would notice him.
Tannochsidebear 2,405
I would be more worried if he was selected to play for us in the final, as stuck out on the wing doesnt seem to be suiting him much so far. Of course it could be that he just needs a year to settle in to a very different culture and lifestyle than he will have been used to, and it may be next season before we see what he is capable of.
BrahimHemdani 1
If he's going to play it has to be in CMF and that doesn't seem likely at the moment; so it doesn't look like he'll have much of a dilemma come Cup Final day (assuming we get there); unless we get injuries best he can hope for is a place on the bench. I would think that his bigger problem will be that come the World Cup, he won't have played competitively for more than 6 months unless Ally starts rotating as soon as the League's won.
Gribz 850
Im looking forward to seeing Peralta in the world cup to see what kind of player he is. So far Ive seen him in 1 match this season and didn't realise he was playing but he was on the right wing.
