ian1964 10,724
Double cup final date for Celtic Park, SPFL confirms Wednesday 5 February 2014 Celtic Park will host next month's Scottish League Cup final, the Scottish Professional Football League has announced. Aberdeen are due to face Inverness as the first major piece of silverware of the season is contested. But with Hampden unavailable as it is readied for the Commonwealth Games, Celtic Park has beaten off competition from Rangers' Ibrox Stadium to hold the March 16 showpiece. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/celtic-park-tipped-for-league-cup-final.1391585405
der Berliner 3,747
Aberdeen are due to face Inverness as the first major piece of silverware of the season is contested. Was just about to throw in the Ramsden Cup Final, only to note that it only takes place on April 4th ... You have to admire the "beaten off competition" line.
Scott7 6,013
The attendance will be amusing. 25,000 tops I should imagine if the weather is good. The irony is that if either the sheep or the ridiculous caley were playing Rangers in the final they would be screaming for half the tickets.

Normal attendance for the piggery then!

Which is why I still have that niggling feeling that some of our ties have been needlessly moved to Friday or Monday nights on purpose. Not that any SFA or B(BC)T chap would willingly do us any harm, far from it ...
bluebear54 0
This is just as well. There would have been no end of bad blood and unwanted PR for us if Dolly had come to Ibrox.
The Real PapaBear 0
have they at least made up an excuse as to why they gave both finals to the meccanodome, or don't they even feel they have to bother with that charade now?
Stimpy 0
So the Ramsdens Cup final, which we could easily fill out a 50/60k stadium, will be played in a 20k stadium. But the League Cup final, where both sets of supporters would struggle to fill a 20k stadium will be played in a 60k stadium. Where's the fucking logic?
Scott7 6,013
RPB - please don't refer to cp as the "meccanodome". Meccano is capable of building sound small-scale structures whereas cp is short life repair as you go.
