barca72 440
Some things are natural pairs - St. Valentine's Day and hearts, Easter and bunnies, TLB and undignified behaviour and classless actions. Street ned.
The Real PapaBear 0
Absolutely PapaBear. This is grotesquely hypocritical of Lennon. He is one of the very first to cry sectarianism or victimisation. Yet he is also one of the first on the ramparts to defend what he perceives is "his own" when they are accused of sectarianism, bigotry or thuggery. I don't see him as an honest man and I think that he knows full well what he is doing. Unfortunately, I don't believe that his politico-religiously motivated stance has any place in Scotland, let alone in football. Perhaps he would be better served taking up a career in NI politics. he's not honest enough to be a politician.

Ser Barristan Selmy 222
Was watching something on sky plus and had the misfortune of stumbling upon Sportscene just now. Pat Nevin, who is a decent pundit but a rabid tim made a comment about the old firm. He then qualified it saying 'although some people wouldn't call it the old firm any more'. Very, very similar to what Jim Spence said recently, again on a BBC medium. Just completely unnecessary and a sly dig that they seem to intent to make. You wouldn't see Davie Provan making such a dig, though maybe that's why Davie Provan is now the main co-commentator on SKY games and Nevin is on Sportscene. To be honest, I think the club should take a stance here with this petty, insolent behaviour. We are recognised both legally and sportingly by all bodies as the same club, there is no room for discussion here. It's tragic that this is still being brought up. For a professional pundit to make a jibe on a supposedly objective government corporation is just pathetic. Can you imagine if a bear made such a comment were the boot on the other foot? There would be all sorts of sectarian accusations. Then again, apart from irrelevant loon balls like Leggat, nobody in the media admits they support us. Possibly out of fear for their careers. The only folk in the media who nail their colours to the mast are non Scottish based figures like Jeff Randall and Andy Gray.

aweebluesoandso 290
After yesterdays defeat, if Lennon had any dignity left he would resign and leave Scotland.
bluebear54 0
I would love to know how the police investigation is going. I do think the media and the CP PR machine bandy these rumours about with impunity to make their allegations appear to be more serious.
ian1964 10,728
On a day to remember for the travelling Aberdeen support, their repertoire was one to forget. The encounter was played against the backdrop of abuse suffered by Lennon when at Tynecastle last week to watch the Dons’ 4-0 semi-final win over St Johnstone. Fair enough, if they wanted to tell him to “get tae f***” within seconds of the first whistle, and offer a surreal interpretation of the events in Gorgie with a chant of “always the victim, it’s never your fault”. But they strayed towards the offensive with “you’re in the wrong f***in’ country” and “Jimmy Savile is one of your own”. Maybe Aberdeen really are heading towards the big time again if their followers can show they’re up there with the foulest in Scotland. http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spfl/celtic-1-2-aberdeen-celtic-out-of-scottish-cup-1-3299280
SteveC 150
Never seen "surreal" used as a synonym for "common sense" before. Is it too paranoid to see something pointed in the last sentence?
