Hi All,:

As many of you may have heard, SDMC Productions is producing a Feature Length Documentary charting the Extraordinary story of Rangers Football Club - Still the most Successful Domestic Club in the World !

:rfcbouncy:

This was originally to be a SDMC & BBC project; however, due to the relationship between Rangers/The Fans and the BBC we have decided to fund this ourselves.

We are now opening a project to include the Fans and Supporters in this feature and will then screen in Cinemas around Scotland.

Please check out the link below to our project page and support if possible - Please also pass to Friends, Family and fellow supporters and help us get this project completed!

Thanks guys!

Does anyone know anything about this organisation? Looks like a money raising appeal?!

I don't think they hide the fact that they are trying to raise £7K because they dumped the idea that they were originally (allegedly I admit) going to involve the BBC, which they admit would not be accepted by the fans . They obviously need a bit of help with funding because of that decision.

I get the feeling they will get it in the neck whichever way they try to go. If they had gone with BBC - slaughtered! If they ask for help in funding because of that decision - slaughtered. It's what we do as a Rangers support - we find a way of not uniting to promote ourselves, yet gripe at how we are portrayed.

They are going to be in Glasgow over the next couple of weeks and will attend the Dunfermline cup game on the 7th.

They have a track record, having done the Man City DVD, and the main guy is a known actor and hosted an MTV programme previously. I suppose an easy way to validate whether they are serious is to contact any of parties that they say have already contributed to the documentary e.g.

You may also like to contact the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund for some monetary assistance, if required.

The money in the RFFF might just be sitting there in a bank account doing nothing at the moment, but there is absolutely NO chance that any of it would be released for the making of a 3rd party documentary. There would be a bloody uproar if any of that money was used in such a way. It's for dire emergencies and fighting legal battles in times of need.
