der Berliner 3,743
Scary to think it wasn't so long ago we were pumping the champions of England. Now we are talking about us being a league 2 side. The power of Sky. Bastards. Not so long ago? Dunno, a few people around might not even have been born in 1992
TheTinMan99 0
Not so long ago? Dunno, a few people around might not even have been born in 1992 Showing my age a bit. Can remember it like it was yesterday. Hateley, Bomber and Ally, forever legends for those 2 games alone. Sad what's happened to both us, and Leeds since.

SteveC 150
Sidenote: we should actually try to get a closer tie with some of the northern "low key" English teams, a mutual agreement for e.g. youngster exchanges, loans and whatnot. Primarily aimed at a) giving our more promising youngsters some sort of really competitive experience and b) send them to a side that could actually offer to pay their wages more than Airdrie or East Fife would. Furthermore, we should even now look to arrange some friendlies with e.g. Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday, Bolton Wanderers, Wolves et al, teams who drop out of any promotion issues, but with the potential to bring along some crowds (either home or away). So we get some tougher and better quality opponents for the current squad. Yes, all very true - far too much common sense here for it ever to happen. Lets see 1992 is now 22 years ago so stands equidistant between 2014 and 1970. In 1992 us "baby boomers" must have thought 1970 was aeons earlier....odd thing time perspective, gets odder the older you get
calscot 0
Seen a few Dons games in League 1. They've even been in the playoffs a few times. I think our current team is a bit better than them and could see us getting promoted but being relegation candidates the next without a change in personnel. However, the Championship would bring us in more money than the SPL and we'd be able to outspend most of the league, bar the parachute payment mob.
