compo 7,044
There is no way any player should take any kind of a pay cut our club has more so called financial guru's than you can shake a stick at in the past few days we have had to watch the penny a share boys cash in and get rich its about time the board earned their huge wages and got deals done to bring in much needed revenue the way things are going the day we sell either ibrox or murray park cant be far off then the club will be locked into a lease scheme paying rent that we don't have .
TheWee BlueDevil 0
Embarrassing news but not unexpected I think. Good old saviour Charlie, lined his and his pals' pockets and sailed off into the sunset. What a legacy he has left us. Very worrying times indeed. Deja vu anyone?
Blue Moon 1,291
They're obviously well within their rights to refuse, but it's pretty selfish of the players to refuse a 15% pay cut if Ally has just signed a new contract with a 50% pay cut. I'd love to know which players agreed and which players refused. Clearly cuts need to be made throughout the Club, so the players refusing cuts will not go down well amongst the other staff if everyone gets asked to take cuts. The bottom line is that the Club needs to survive without another administration event, so if everyone needs to take cuts and some staff redundancies need to be made then everyone employed at the club needs to comply and take it on the chin. Here's an article Gersnet published 9 months ago - http://www.gersnet.co.uk/index.php/latest-news/134-radical-fiscal-changes-required-who-s-got-the-stomach-for-it It is a mistake to start with the playing staff. Given all the sh*t that has gone on, I can't blame them. There are other avenues that need cleared out.
RANGERRAB 3,674
Whether we like it or not this is an avenue we had to go down. Now that it has failed I hope thats the last we'll hear about it and cuts will be elsewhere hopefully starting with the £10m non playing staff wage bill. Our playing staff wage bill is about 35 percent of turnover which isnt that high.
SteveC 150
Meanwhile we pay another financial consultant, presumably megabucks, to do what our financial director should already have done/be doing/the board should be............? Where's the sense?

j1mgg 0
Obvious place to start to try and save money. Guess we will have to try and off load players through loaning them out if the other clubs are will to pay more than 50% of the wages. League is tied up already and give the youngsters a hood amount of games on the run.

craig 5,199
Youngsters can't afford a 15% cut? What will they be deprived of - the latest iPad or smartphone? I would understand if they have mortgages and kids. How do you know they dont ?
