Couldn't help myself, easy to blame fellow fans isn't it eh? I'm not especially sure what's changed from yesterday, the need for cuts has been clear a number of weeks.

Twisted world where you can have fans that follow the team everywhere home and away yet it's 'shame' on them if they have a different opinion on a boardroom.

If you've been championing the board that have driven us to this point then yes, shame on you. If you spoke in defence of them because you didn't like the people speaking against them then double shame on you. I can't think of any other possible reason why a Rangers supporter could have backed this board, it was clear as day they were at best incompetent and at worst killing the club and lining their pockets.

Following the club home and away doesn't absolve anyone of responsibility.

Nothing has really changed from yesterday other than the public confirmation of what's been done to our club. Again.

Agree with almost every word Craig, but what IF the cost-cutting strategy Graham Wallace has in mind is simply 15% pay cuts throughout the club?

What are other club staff to think if the highly paid players aren't accepting the proposed cuts?

Let's not kid around, even the younger lads are quite highly paid and are generally taking home a hell of a lot more than most humans. Even a grand a week is a massive salary.

Not trying to be facetious... but is that true ? I was approached about a job back home last week and I was asking for more than that... maybe I was being aggressive.

Seriously, not trying to be smart - I just didnt realise that 50k was a massive salary.

Do we need Kirkwood, Sinclair and Gordon Durie at Auchenhowie?

Does Ally need 2 assistants?

Do they assistants both need to earn over half a million between them?

Do we need a FD, CEO, finance consultant as well as Olverman and Dickson all on the pay roll? Do we really need them all?

Do we really need Jack Irvine and Media House?

Plus the manager and the assistants got a £1million bonus between them for winning League 3

Wallace should have removed Stockbridge and Toxic Jack from their posts for starters then supporters might be able to take him seriously,we all know players are being paid over the odds for where we are, but they have contracts that should be honoured.

They should be trying to offload Cribari,S Smith Foster etc.

Stockbridge has a contract too, just like the players...

The removel of Stockbridge would cost the club further money.

I am prepared to give Wallace time - the removal of Stockbridge, if even achievable, will take time, politicking and much planning. It wont happen overnight as the cost to do so would be substantial.

I genuinely believe Wallace if he says we're not going bust but this is yet more negative publicity. Also what players would want to sign for a club who have been trying to introduce wage cuts?

Dont forget that many of the players we sign are getting MASSIVE pay increases.

If we have been offering players 100% pay increases... but now are asking the same player to take a 15% pay cut - you do realise that they will still be getting paid significantly more than they were prior to joining the club ? Cant be bothered to work out the actual &ages.

It'll depend on your viewpoint and obviously since you're looking at it from the viewpoint of an accountant, then it's reasonable to expect that you wouldn't view 50k as a massive salary, just as a doctor or lawyer probably wouldn't either. To most people though, yes I think 50k is a massive salary. As an example, Secondary school teacher starting salaries in Scotland range from just over 20k up to just under 35k and teachers in Scotland need to work their whole career to get promotions and work up the pay scale ladder to get anywhere near 50k. My mum worked in Special Education for over 35 years and it was only in her latter years as a head teacher of a large special school that she was getting anything like 50k. So while some professionals might turn their nose up at 50k, there's plenty of hard working professionals out there who work towards that type of salary as part of a long term career over several decades.

Re money spent on players' wages, McCoist says he shouldn't be held accountable for this, others perhaps.
