Zappa 0
There's absolutely no way I'd want to see him back after the unprofessional manner in which he conducted himself in the 2009/10 season and the lack of respect he showed for the Club by repeatedly going AWOL and failing to return from international duty. Bougherra cares more about his national team than he does for his club team. Walter Smith knew that Bougherra was taking the piss and so he gave Danny Wilson 26 appearances that season, mostly alongside Davie Weir. Bougherra only made 23 appearances for us that season in comparison to the 26 made by Wilson and it wasn't just because of injury.

pete 2,499
Even at 31 has SPL quality. If playing for free, definitely. I would rather have Bougherra playing without a wage than bringing someone unproven in for a sizeable wage. What would the club have to lose by bringing him back, especially if he doesnt want a wage (though I dont place much stock in that statement....). I think that playing without a wage is a bit tongue in cheek. If push comes to shove I doubt he would play for nothing.

Call his bluff. Over him a contract worth 0, even for the next 12 months and see what he says. What have we to lose. He has more to lose if truth be told.

Probably zero salary and two round trip tickets per fortnight to Qatar, first class of course, a lodge at Cameron House, porsche etc.
