pete 2,511
When looking for some information on another league season as I am sure I have done in the past, to my astonishment when using the "Pick another season" option, only 2011-12 and 2012-13 are available. As I say I am sure I used to look up all the seasons in our history there, so why has it been changed? http://www.rangers.co.uk/match/league-table
Zappa 0
They haven't deleted it as such pete, it's just that they haven't taken the time (yet) to enter all of the historical data since the old website was ditched and a new website was created by the in-house media team.
Zappa 0
In the meantime pete, you can find the club's historical results in the Gersnet Archive here - http://www.therangersarchive.co.uk/ There's also RangersPedia here - http://www.rangerspedia.org/index.php?title=Main_Page There's also the superb main wikipedia pages for Rangers season by season here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011%E2%80%9312_Rangers_F.C._season (Note: You can skip backwards and forwards through the pages for each season simply by using the links at the bottom of the box at the top right of the wiki page. See image below)
pete 2,511
Thanks Zappa I forgot the whole site had been changed. I am no expert but could they not just have transferred all the information on block to the new site?
Zappa 0
Thanks Zappa I forgot the whole site had been changed. I am no expert but could they not just have transferred all the information on block to the new site? No, I think the old site and all the contents would have technically been owned by the media company who built and updated the site. The folk dealing with it at the Club might well have copied and pasted the text from a bunch of the old site's pages, but the results tables and stuff like that have probably been lost and will need completely re-created.
