Morton are owned and kept afloat by Douglas Rae a local sweetie magnet. If the Easedales have any share of Morton it must be tiny because the Rae family totally control the club.

No, I'm pretty sure they don't own any notable share because apparently they offered to buy into the club and were politely knocked back by the owner/s. They've went well beyond just paying Morton for a few advertising boards though because they've sponsored both the first team and the youth setup. TBH, I wouldn't have an issue with them continuing to pay for advertising at Cappielow via McGill's because it's a locality thing and also a community gesture for their bus company, but sponsoring first team players and the youth program is a different kettle of fish now that they're so heavily involved with us. Would they want people to be saying they've invested more directly into Morton than they've invested directly into Rangers? Tough question really because they want to be seen as investing in their local community in Greenock, but they probably want to be seen as investing in Rangers too. Well, now they do at least.
