gisabeer 409
Paul leguen has made an absolute c*nt of the managers job at Ibrox, there is no doubt about that fact. Under estimating the SPL and over estimating the squad he inherited are contributing factors but his biggest blunder was in the transfer market and the signings he brought in. They have made no impact whatso ever and we now find ourselves in a bigger mess than we were this time last year. Then again when you only get coppers to spend what do you expect? He came with a big pedigree and i doubt anyone at the time of his arrival doubted his ability but mr murrays moonbeam has now dissapeared behind the clouds of dispair. Big question is, where do we go from here? ideally murray needs to get the cheque book and spend at least 10 - 15 million to get our squad back into shape as its a pityful shell of what it used to be. we need two centre backs, a right back, another midfielder and a striker at least if we are to finish second in the SPL this season. On top of that we have to rid ourselves of the deadwood as well. that will be no mean feat when you consider the cost the last time paid off big marv and co. theres a couple of mill in there if you add it it up. The figures being banded about in the media report that leguen will have around 4-5 million max to spend in the transfer window so theres a bit of a cash difference from what ive been writing. But as usual we will be left hanging around over the next month as the transfer window slowly shuts in our faces but this time around our chairman wont be able to get away with empty hollow cryptic promises as he has done in the past. What he has to do is get the check book out and fix the damage done from years gone past when dick advocaat used fifty pound notes for arse paper. we are still paying the price of that era and we allways will as long as we are shopping in the bargain basement for players. 4 to 5 million wont sort us out mr Murray. Its your call!
Gribz 854
Fine post (rant) Gisabeer. You are righ about the spending and the need to rid the dead wood. Unfortunatly i cant see neither of these happening. 1) Murray will never give Le Guen 15 million. He will be lucky to get 5 mill and thats off Ricksens transfer and players going out. 2) The dead wood are half of le guens new signings so getting rid of them is difficult.
nokiss 0
Both fine posts lads. Get rid of the dead wood.....I totally agree. Starting with Murray, Bain and Mcintyre. Only then can we begin to look forward.

The deadwood needs to start at the top - the best New Year gift DM can give us is to say he is leaving and has a buyer and that Bain is leaving with him !
