Crimson Dynamo 128
We certainly wont get there paying over 1.5 million to various ceos in 18 months. Or 4 million to greens investors on a whim Agreed but we also won't get that spending almost £10m a season to win League 2, League 1 and The Championship. If we need that to win these leagues then how much do we need to win The Spfl? 20? 30? We are currently spending the guts of 150k a week to win League 1 perhaps this is another sign of an incompetent board but if McCoist thinks he needs players earning that to win then maybe he should go too
Super Cooper 0
No we need to be run well enough to earn enough to compete. Celtc live within their means. We also have a variety of people wanting to join the board and invest. What we cant do is rot away in second place while the fans and investors are on the outside looking in. Im not asking us to catch man city financially just celtc. Thats the challenge for whatever board emerges. Do they though? £35m debt, a desperate need for Champions League football......take that away and i predict they would run at a loss

Templeton aside, we did not spend a pound in transfer fees on a squad that can see us through League One and the Championship too. We all know what we've been served last season and no-one on here wants a repeat on this. And I for one doubt that McCoist will get millions to spend either.

I blame it on the tribulations of the AGM and its run-up, since you can't be serious here.

Whats been going on for 18 months. Green promissed us all sorts. 30 million in the bank, no debt a new start. The sad thing is it was possible he just got greedy instead. But his record was there for all to see no one can claim to be surprised he raped us.

Nor are they anything like 35 million in debt in reality.

No I don't come January and June next year McCoist will want more for "Stage 3" and we'll probably end paying a couple of players to leave as well. The money we are spending on the team just now is completely unnecessary.

They would also be running at a loss if they didn't sell players or participate in Europe, both of which are not always guaranteed as we found out ourselves.

They are not running at a loss right now because of two years in Europe. They made a profit of 180k (despite 7 Old Firm games) the year before that. Obviously, we could have sold half of our squad, laid off half our staff, kept the ticket prices and tried to get better TV deals within SFL 3 ...
