fraser54 0
Irish teenage striker Anthony Stokes has played his last game for Falkirk, BBC Scotland understands. The SPL's top goalscorer with 14 goals has been on loan from Arsenal but it is understood that deal, which expires on 31 December, will not be extended. The 18-year-old is due to return to London, but is likely to be sold in the January transfer window. Charlton, Sunderland and an SPL club are known to be interested in signing the striker. Stokes has previously been linked with Celtic and the Glasgow club's chief scout Ray Clarke confirmed earlier this month that they had watched the striker on at least four occasions. The Irishman scored his third hat-trick for Falkirk this season in the 3-1 victory over Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday. Falkirk boss John Hughes had stated his desire to keep the player at the club, but said he would respect Arsenal's decision. Source : BBC Football Shocked at this as i thought he would stay to the end of the season and play in a 1st team. So the only reason he must be going back to Arsenal is that some one is going to buy him. It says an SPL club and hopefully Mr Le Guen has to spke to Wenger saying that he wants to sign hi as he would be a great signing

Apparently he is a boyhood fan of Celtic - funny that since he comes from the ROI
ian1964 10,720
Aye, plus the fact that Rangers are unfashionable these days, apart from the fact we can't afford to buy anybody decent and if we do show an interest Celtic will probably sneak in before us
