Ser Barristan Selmy 222
mm shouldn't be chairman but a board member is no issue. given the nick i was in last night i am reticent to hold a bit of drunkenness against anyone. Did you need anyone to carry you home? I also don't believe you are in a position of seniority at RFC and in the public eye. Also, I could drink all weekend and not end up in a state like MM was, I used to get like that but not now. I do have a ridiculously high tolerance nowadays though. I've also matured a bit now and don't really like being completely out of it. When I feel alcohol hitting my quite strongly I slow it down a bit
forlanssister 3,114
I don't miss any point because there isn't one, Somers has never claimed to be a Rangers man he was appointed to do a job maybe you should just let him get on with it, JM had no problem with him. I didn't criticise others I quite rightly criticised Paul Murray for his lack of historical knowledge. McColl questioned both Somers independence and his actions since being appointed at the Hilton meeting.

What exactly is private about being paralytic in a public location?

pete 2,499
GS - You say the chairman of Rangers should have a certain pedigree. Does this not null and void MM given he appears to have a brutal drink problem and makes an absolute arse of himself in public places? Surely that is something no Rangers employee of any description should ever be seen doing. That video Stockbridge took had him in a state Pete Doherty would be ashamed of, absolutely paralytic, and I don't really buy into the car crash explanation. If he has some sort of physical or psychological ailment that means he cannot handle alcohol, then he should not be drinking. Personally I think that says more for the person filming him to use it against him. You know the same one that is leaking money out the club. That is someone we should trust. MM trusted him on a night out and got shagged. If MM does have an Alcohol problem then he should indeed get counselling before he takes a leading role in the running of Rangers.
Super Cooper 0
Stockbridge' actions were that of a rat.

Ser Barristan Selmy 222
private lives = outside work. The word private implies just that. It would be better off if MM got binned in his office at Ibrox out of harms way than causing himself and the club disgrace in the middle of Glasgow. Pretty sure it was during the day too to make matters even worse. Could you imagine Sir Richard Branson or Lord Alan Sugar getting wrecked in London and needing carried home? For fucks sake.... If he drinks to absolute intoxication in the privacy of his own home then that is one thing.

If alcohol affects Murray in that way due to medical issues then he should have the wit no to indulge to the extent he ends up in that state, especially when he's holding the esteemed office of Rangers Chairman. It should also be remembered that he initially gave the spivs a legitimacy they did not merit. As for Stockbridge as if filming it initially wasn't bad enough his pathetic excuses for doing so just compounded his disgrace, "I had to bed Malcolm 4 or 5 times.....it was to show him the error of his ways yada yada", one wonders if 4 or 5 is his record for bedding Rangers employees and if he had to video them. As for Imran hawking the video around every media outlet for months on end that too was truly pathetic and tells us all we need to know about him if we already didn't know enough about the content of his character. In truth none of them are fit and proper to hold office at Ibrox and the club will be in a better place when none of them do so.
