amms 0
I have no reason to disbelieve him should I have, I also see the article on Paul Murray's past failures is spreading like wildfire not good for the requisitioners along with JM stepping away. As ever you miss the point. You criticised others for their apparent lack of knowledge on Rangers yet don't apply the same standards to Somers.

I don't miss any point because there isn't one, Somers has never claimed to be a Rangers man he was appointed to do a job maybe you should just let him get on with it, JM had no problem with him. I didn't criticise others I quite rightly criticised Paul Murray for his lack of historical knowledge.

the gunslinger 3,366
fwiw somner if independent is a good candidate for a non exec as far as i can see. he absolutely should not be our chairman. the rangers chairman should reflect the values of the club and be steeped in it's history. unfortunately every time he has opened his mouth he has made an arse of it so far. if stockbridge and irvine are still at rangers come the new year he will have proven he isn't right for the rangers board and the sooner we get a proper chairman in place the better.
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
The Rangers chairman should be good at his job and that is all that is required.
the gunslinger 3,366
i can't agree. its a figurehead position and the chairman's club is a strong corporate hospitality selling point. the chairman hosts dinners and such for sponsors and corporate guests. part of the job is being steeped in the club. their will be literally hundreds of rangers fans who would be excellent chairmen. what do people imagine would happen if a yahoo chairman claimed he had no interest in celtc until he became chairman? rangers fans want to up there standards.
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
Couldn't give a fuck what Celtic do, all we need is competence.
