andy steel 0
I console myself with the thought that posters who back Stockbridge & Irvine are not actually fans but minions of the PR dept at Ibrox. If they are fans, voting fans, we've had it!
the gunslinger 3,366
this is saying something but that is the worst statement i have ever seen from a professional company. utter shambles.

Bluedell 5,627
I have been embarrassed by both sides comments recently. I think this the most accurate statement on this thread. Neither side is behaving particularly impressively, but there is an onus on the club and it's current directors to behave to a higher standard and it's disappointing that the new chairman is allowing sub-standard articles to continue.
ian1964 10,724
I will be really surprised if any of the fans that still back the current board will maintain their stance after that statement, not only this one but it's is as bad as it gets
The Real PapaBear 0
That statement is spot on, the only bitchy comments I see are the ones following it. If its bitch fest you are after get yourself along to the meet tonight. have you ever posted on any subject other than the board and/or those looking to take over at Ibrox? I'm just asking because I don't ever recall you posting on something like, oh I don't know, football, maybe? A suspicious person might think you're not really a Rangers fan at all, having so little to say about the team or players or manager. You *do* know who the manager is, right?
Darthter 542
I actually think the statement makes some valid points, albeit in a rather crude manner.... We challenge them to prove their allegations but if all they can provide is rumour and hearsay they should now cease causing further damage. If the requisitioner's have proof of wrong doing then they need to provide the proof either directly to the fans or by evidence of some official investigation etc, other than that it's nothing more than mud-slinging IMHO. We note that the requisitioners had the opportunity to put 1,000 words in the AGM pack - they chose not to do so yet. Instead they have decided to wage a campaign in the media using fans to further their own agenda. Why would the requisitioner's choose not to include some kind of Bio/communication of their plans etc within the official AGM pack??? IMHO, they view the media as a better weapon. Lastly we note that Malcolm Murray was present during the course of all the things complained of in yesterday’s statement - therefore the resulting press articles are in fact an attack on the requisitioners themselves. Again a valid point. M Murray was chairman of the board, but is now complaining about the actions of the very board he was chair of.... Rangers Chairman David Somers said: “We are now on board and the fans can rest assured that costs incurred by previous directors prior to our appointment have already been thoroughly examined by a forensic accounting exercise and there is no evidence of any financial irregularity. "The Company's auditors have also provided an unqualified audit report. This ties back to the point about the requisition's claims......The board should publish some kind of evidence to support this claim. If they did, I feel it would go a long way to helping their cause. There are a lot of claims & counter-claims flying back & forth between both parties. This makes it very difficult to actually get to the truth. I think some of the tactics being employed by the requisitioner's are just as dirty (in some cases possibly more so) than the current Board. Please don't get me wrong, I am no supporter of either side particularly - I do think that Stockbridge should realise that his time is up though. The main argument I am hearing from the requisitioner's is that "they're bad, we're good, so vote for us", but I'm yet to be convinced of WHY they are the better option. I think Somers & Wallace should be give time. Give me 2 sec while I dig out my tin hat & flack vest.....
der Berliner 3,749
There is, sadly enough, a tendency on this board now to lay into anything (!) that comes from the club, and at times it seems just for good measure. I haven't yet read what Murray says about "fearing Green is still involved", but the headline alone could have been done by Irvine (if he'd be in the opposite camp).

Most or all were covered last night by the requisitioners.
