Frankie 8,684
Can I ask who the bear is... I assume it's Andy Smillie - he certainly seemed to enjoy the protests. I think there was one or two other Members Lounge patrons alongside him as well...

Andy and his wife were outside the main doors when we arrived, Andy stayed to the end with others who came and went from inside the entrance ,but not sure who the others where?
forlanssister 3,114
I attended the protest/march and was pleased to see good numbers involved. The march had around 50-100 with more joining in as we walked round to the front door. There was certainly around 200-300 as we protested there, including some polite applause from those awaiting the organisers. The crowd did disperse quickly as people left to get to their seats early ahead of the minutes' silence but, all in all, I'm sure SoS will be quite happy with the numbers. From where I was (along from the street vendors across from the John Greig statue) those numbers of yours look very conservative indeed.
Super Cooper 0
It was interesting to see a well kent and very well connected bear standing at the main door on the other side of the fence from the protestors clapping along. I wonder if anyone would have a go at trying to slaughter him? Noticed that too, was very proud of big Andy! He is afterall paying for it all right enough!
Frankie 8,684
From where I was (along from the street vendors across from the John Greig statue) those numbers of yours look very conservative indeed. I didn't have the best view admittedly but it was difficult to tell who was there for the protest and who was there to rubber neck. I think 300 actual protesters seems accurate enough given the number of people singing (not that many really) and how quickly the bulk of the crowd dispersed.
