ian1964 10,771
RANGERS Football Club has today been notified by the SPFL that Tuesday’s away Under-20 League fixture against Celtic will not take place. The match has been scheduled to be played next week since early August when the fixture list was first published. Strenuous efforts were made by Rangers, including offering to reverse the fixture to Ibrox, to ensure that happened and dialogue between the club and the SPFL has been ongoing over the last week. This morning we were informed the game has been postponed with no reason given as to why Celtic failed to put proper arrangements in place to host their home match. Rangers will take this matter up with the SPFL to ask for an explanation of why the game will not take place. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/5541-u20-derby-statement

andy steel 0
Weird! I certainly have little desire to play that mob, but it would be hoping for too much that they would, in a fit of self-righteousness noteworthy even by their standards, refuse to play us and gift us 12 points a season when we get back up.

ian1964 10,771
Or!, maybe they can't trust their fans to behave so close to the battle of Amsterdam?
Waltersgotstyle 307
Or!, maybe they can't trust their fans to behave so close to the battle of Amsterdam? Bang on the money. If something were to go wrong it would be a PR nightmare, given the fact they are telling anyone who will listen - how bad they were treated in holland.

ian1964 10,771
Maybe that's the same reason Ross County never held a minutes silence before their game with the BHEASTS
