Davie P 4
How much income does the club lose by playing a game mid-week to say a 25 000 crowd, versus a full (ish) house on a Saturday. Surely our finances have to be our priority right now. If we lose the odd game because Wallace and MacLeod are away with Scotland, is it going to make any real difference to our final league position? Instead of winning the league by 30 points, we win by 27. Big whoop!
Tumshie RFC 0
Absolute joke of a decision. What must the fringe players think when Ally would rather postpone a game against a part time side than play them. Once again the normal fan loses out because of it.
ian1964 10,761
"The Club appreciates supporters may be unhappy with the decision but it was taken in good faith by the football department." Never heard that one before 'football department.' Just in case the fans blame the current board for that as well? Pish decision, lots of fans can't make a mid week match, not to mention the probable loss of cash, poor show again
Darthter 542
Is it worth pointing out that if we didn't postpone the match & got beaten - a large number of fans would claim that it was due to key players away on international duty...
BEARGER 1,830
Another cowardly disgraceful decision by our manager. Saturday 3pm when football should be played and now its a dreich dark night in December, get a grip Ally.

We would be on here bitching and complaining about the result, the performance, the team selection. Damned if you do, damned if you dont.

Zappa 0
http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/5493-forfar-match-postponed Forfar Match Postponed RANGERS' league fixture against Forfar at Ibrox on Saturday 16 November will be postponed due to international call ups. Arnold Peralta has been selected for the Honduras squad to play Brazil, Lee Wallace is included in the Scotland squad for the double-header against the USA and Norway on Friday 15 and Tuesday 19 November and Fraser Aird is away with Scotland under-19s. Lewis Macleod will also feature for Scotland’s under-21 side on Thursday 14 November so the Club has requested a postponement under SPFL rules. The Club appreciates supporters may be unhappy with the decision but it was taken in good faith by the football department. We hope to reschedule the game for Tuesday 3 December or Wednesday 4 December but this will only be confirmed once the date for our Scottish Cup tie against Falkirk is confirmed - which is scheduled for the weekend of the 30th November. Aird has barely been getting a game for us, so we can immediately discount him from being considered a loss. Peralta's performances have been extremely patchy, so there's no reason he should be considered a huge loss while he's away to play Brazil. We have a whole bunch of other players who are dying to get an opportunity to play on either wing and could step in on the right in Peralta's absence. Ally brought in Stevie Smith specifically as cover for Wallace, so while Wallace is a key player for us there is a high standard of back up sitting waiting to take his place. Losing MacLeod will always be considered a blow, but there's no shortage of players there in the squad waiting to come in. There's Hutton, Crawford and several others just waiting for the opportunity. This is another unnecessary and embarrassing postponement for the club, which is yet again going to leave many fans out of pocket.
ranger_syntax 4,422
I think that the manager is making the correct decision. I'm not happy though. Going to midweek matches is rubbish in comparison to Saturday at 3pm.
