Leggoland under police protection after threats

Recommended Posts

I can reveal that LeggoLand is now under police protection following a sinister and clearly threatening email allegedly sent by Jim Park to me.

Jim Park is of course a business associate of shamed former chief executive Charles Green and also a close neighbour of seriously under pressure Brian Stockbridge, the controversial Rangers £200,000-a-year executive financial director who also banked another £200,000 as his bonus for Alastair McCoist’s team winning the Third Division last season.

The address on the email I received said Jim Park(fellowfreemason@outlook.com) and had in as its subject matter just one word....

GOTCHA.

The contents of the email contained only my name and home address.

The clear message was that Jim Park, or whoever it may be who is using his name, was saying he had now got me as he was in possession of my home address.

Or to put it another way....He knows where I live.

Naturally, as a law abiding citizen, I followed the advice I always give to fellow law abiding citizens when they are threatened, I contacted the police.

And now police patrols have been stepped up to provide my home with an extra measure of security. An extremely experienced police officer also gave me security advice on how to protect my home and how to ensure I am not followed.

That last part of police advice was particularly pertinent as after the match against East Fife at Ibrox I was followed when I left the Stadium. That is the conclusion I reached when within days of the game the then chief executive Craig Mather boasted that he had a picture of me meeting former chairman Malcolm Murray outside the Louden in Copland Road.

As it happened the meeting was entirely fortuitous as I was on my way to the Louden to await the arrival of a press pal who was still finishing his Sunday newspaper stint.

It was also interesting to note Mather’s name appearing in another email from “Jim Park” sent from that same email address. This time the message was “ the club, via Stockbridge/Mather is going to bankrupt and crush you. Mather said he was going to crush Paul Murray, Malcolm Murray, Chris Graham and Leggo.”

So, how is that working out?

Well, since I received the emails, everything seems to have gone quiet on the “crushing and bankrupting” me front.

And what about any part Jim Park (fellowfreemason@outlook.com) may have believed Craig Mather would play in that, or any claim that Mather may have made about crushing Paul Murray, Malcolm Murray, Chris Graham and Leggo?

How is that working out? Especially now that Mather is no longer chief executive.

As for the extra security being provided for LeggoLand by the Boys in Blue. Well, they have not installed anything quite so ridiculously over-the-top as a panic button in my modest wee hoose. Probably because I am not prone to being panicked.

But here is a question and a wee bit of advice to the man – Jim Park, or someone pretending to be the Jim Park, who is a friend of Charles Green and a neighbour of Brian Stockbridge, who sent that email headed GOTCHA containing my name and address.

The question is.... If you do intend to come calling, how many of you will there be? And the advice is that if you do decide to pay me a visit, you should all bring your own panic buttons.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm finding all the drama surrounding Rangers bloggers to be counter productive.... at this rate we'll need to give this kind of thing a title and its own theme tune as it is becoming more of a soap opera every day.
