simplythebest 0
Typical ultra leftism this, can't separate the politics of wars from the troops out there risking their lives. It doesn't diminish their service and bravery if Tony Blair was right or wrong to go to Iraq or whatever else.
BrahimHemdani 1
I'm not sure that politics and football mix all that well.

Which one do you think (and this is a serious question) shows greater "service and bravery" - a cancer nurse or a soldier?
The Real PapaBear 0
I'm not sure that politics and football mix all that well. Indeed they don't and that's kinda why there shouldn't be soldiers marching up and down the pitch at Ibrox.

Is a cancer nurse risking their life? I hate to downplay the role of a cancer nurse but it's you making the comparison.

simplythebest 0
I should have known better. OK, let's leave it there. You started the discussion why not finish it? I'm holding back because I suppose i'd like to understand. Most of the country is probably behind you where the decisions to go to into the wars are concerned but that is the politicians' responsibility. Why do you seem to have something against soldiers personally?
The Real PapaBear 0
You started the discussion why not finish it? Because there is no point. You have no concept of what bravery is and a football discussion forum is not where you'll learn.

So risking your life isn't bravery? I wasn't claiming cancer nurses aren't brave but you're the one that's created some sort of comparison. I feel i'm making a legitimate point that the soldiers don't decide whether to go to war or not and you're doing your best to ignore it.
