Once upon a time, on car journeys of any length, I'd pass the time by putting together my all time Rangers team, or the best Scotland side from players of all clubs, or best Rangers players to play for scotland.

But it's got to the stage with us, that driving home from work tonight I was putting together the ideal Board of Directors. How sad is that?

FFS.

LOL

But did you go 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 ?

I'm a bit out of touch as I've been out of the country four of the last five weeks and can't believe everything that's happened in this period; but as far as MEB is concerned, I have mentioned before that he is a director of Vicast Ltd, a media company, as is Paul Murray (and John McClelland - what happened to him coming back as Chair?) and another former Ibrox colleague Nicola Young and his right hand woman, the formidable Jaquie Gourlay.

If PM gets on the Board, then I wouuldn't bet against MEB coming with him at least in the short term and bringing his staff with him. Long term would depend on how well Vicast is doing.

I know there are strong opinions on Bain's complicity or otherwise in the previous financial meltdown; but one thing that he will always have in his favour in my book is that he stood up to SDM with the due diligence to show that the Whyte bid was flawed and ultimately it cost him his job. So a man of honour in my book and that's something that seems to be sadly lacking in recent times (though Mather and Smart may just have joined the club).

like a Pushme Pullme

That reminds me of a picture of Ally looking like he had a gun to his back and being told to smile by a couple of dodgy ventriloquists fresh off the bus from the clink.
