craig 5,199
who's the assistant? i used to hang about with their manager. John Joyce. Funnily enough he is a coach with Rangers and a die-hard bluenose.

craig 5,199
So you go by the theory that Mitchell is better or deserves to play ahead of Peralta and Foster? Well, Ally and I don't. You are suggesting Peralta deserves a game ahead of Mitchell based on what ? Peralta has played ONE game for us. You are no better than Kal Naismith - at least Naismith is stating his case on the 7 games Mitchell played for us at the end of last season.... Your defence of Peralta is based on having seen him how many times ? Once, twice ? The one game Peralta played for us was in midfield too.... not even in defence.
craig 5,199
I would assume Ally sees more of Mitchell, Foster and Peralta than we do, or Naismith did. Again, what he did 4 months ago is one thing, how he shapes up now another. And, on a sidenote, did anyone of us checked whether Mitchell was actually injured / fully fit during the start of this season? Gallacher is, much like McGregor, reared to be a future Rangers goalie. He needs games to be able to break Bell's cast-in-stone (for the time being) stranglehold on the No. 1 shirt. He won't get that at Murray Park or our bench. So he needs to sharpen his skills and stay fit. Mitchell, as has been said above, has not played for us competitively for the best part of 4 months. Others have and will be picked ahead of him right now (!). What happens in 3 months time remains to be seen. Mitchell was injured in pre-season when at Brora and, at that time, was definitely in the managers plans. The lad told me of his injury himself. He hasn't played competitively for us for 4 months ? He played the 1st half against Forfar - that doesn't exactly cover him in glory but he had 10 other team mates that afternoon that performed just as bad, if not more so.
