andy steel 0
I hadn't seen the idiot's Pastor Neimoller tweet until a moment ago. Fair enough, coverage like that really needs taken to task.
der Berliner 4,101
No, the 'apology' is in the Herald article - which has been taken from the unacceptable reply to those bears that have complained. "BBC Scotland, which carried out a review of Sportsound, has apologised to fans. A spokesman said: "Jim Spence did not state that the club had died but, in the context of a discussion about former board members joining the club, commented that there are some people who hold this particular view. I do agree that the attributed comment could have been better phrased within the live piece and I am sorry if you were offended by this." That's not an apology. MAybe one has to subscribe to see that bit, it is not on my link. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

der Berliner 4,101
... they manage to get all the data from dozens of clubs all over Britain, including some Ladies' teams, but had no "reply" or access to Rangers prices? We were not even worth a "n/a".

We were not even worth a "n/a". I presumed the club didn't cooperate with their survey because the club isn't cooperating with the BBC full stop. About the survey The BBC contacted 166 clubs in 10 divisions by telephone during August and September 2013. We recorded the prices for the most expensive, and cheapest, season tickets and adult match day tickets as well as the cost of a cup of tea, a pie, and a programme. The data was collated and verified by BBC Sport journalists. Lincoln City and Rangers FC are omitted from the survey and calculator because they did not provide data to the BBC.
der Berliner 4,101
So the bone did not come to the dog? It would have taken minimalistic work for a first month journalist to find and click on this ... http://www.rangers.co.uk/tickets/ticket-information
Super Cooper 0
If the BBC wanted our data they could have got it for themselves. Edited September 14, 2013 by Super Cooper

It would have taken minimalistic work for a first month journalist to find and click on this ... http://www.rangers.co.uk/tickets/ticket-information I could see your point if it was just Rangers left out, but they clearly state "Lincoln City and Rangers FC are omitted from the survey and calculator because they did not provide data to the BBC". Sorry dB, but we need better ammo against the beeb than this.
