Lots of interesting comments here from our former director.

Confirms he'd be happy to invest via a share issue but not comfortable acquiring existing holders' shares.

Excellent and very interesting interview. Personally it strengthens further my belief that Dave King is key to us really taking that next step. A major investor who wants to invest (with no ulterior motive) and a true blue to boot. I would be very saddened to see this opportunity disappear.

Well, McColl and King definitely appear intent on forcing the issue (literally)...

Meanwhile the board remain insistent that such an issue is not needed.

They remain far apart so I guess we should see EGM confirmation this week.

Still uncertainty as to whether that could ever be together as a team, or separately. My worry is that if DK goes alone it could further fragment opposition to the status quo. United we stand, divided we fall, and all that.

They're very much their own men but I'd fancy they'll be working together.

It seems likely that King and McColl will have, at least, explored the possibility of working together. I remain puzzled as to why McColl seemed to be relaxed over Easdale remaining on the board and just wonder if DK would view this as an obstacle.

I understand the difference between a new share issue and buying existing shares, as far as getting new money for the club. How does King get the club to float this new share issue if the existing shareholders don't wish to have their shareholding diluted? Can it be done without the Board's permission?

no. it may even need a shareholder vote.
