Ser Barristan Selmy 222
Looks like our new board will now comprise the current chumps with a convicted fraudster and his brother thrown in, plus two throw backs to the dire Murray days. If Carlsberg did ideal football board members, what we have would probably be the opposite of that. It seems that we're relying on sheer luck or the law of averages in hoping we end up under the control of the correct people. You look at clubs like Dortmund, Ajax etc that have a very intelligent infrastructure in place with advanced youth development, scouting, coaching, tactical ideology and then you look at us and you just despair. RANGERRAB 3,807
The first thing we need is a proper global scouting system. Them over the other side are light years ahead of us with theirs.

simplythebest 0
Ideally we need people with both of those traits. I disagree, I really couldn't care less what football team the individuals support.

Sorry mate Ajax are the wrong example the dust is just settling after they had feuding board room battles for the last few years. Most of their board had to resign when the club was split into 2 camps. The Johan Cruiff supporters and the members and supporters of the last board. Johan Cruiff was also brought in a few years ago but Marco van Basten told him you can watch but I make the decisions at all levels. Cruiff resigned. There are nearly always boardroom fights at Ajax.
