Craigy1881 79
So it shuts on Saturday night at 11pm a full 2 days before the rest of europe. Apparently they ignored UEFA's recommendation of 2nd September which is 2 days after our transfer embargo expires http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/st-johnstone/237781-scottish-fa-set-saturday-transfer-deadline-against-uefa-recommendation/

Zappa 0
Liewell's Professional Game Board which remote controls the SFA's robot CEO probably made the decision before Ra Poops qualified yesterday. Expect them to switch roboCEO into reverse tomorrow.

Gribz 966
We have by far a good enough squad to get us through at least until January. And if there is no injuries the squad will still win this league so they can close it whenever they like.
andrew_2010 0
I think it's the principle. Everywhere else in Europe is going to accept transfers from the 1st and 2nd of September, but in Scotland that would mean we could have put through 8 transfers in these days. This would perhaps have meant we wouldn't have signed certain individuals, as better/more suitable players may have been available who were registered at other clubs. I'd love to give the SFA the benefit of the doubt, and not see a conspiracy at every decision, but you know what they say about smoke and fire...
Gribz 966
I don't think all of Europe does have the same dates. I think the Russian transfer window stays open around 1 week after the majority. But UEFA and FIFA need to sort this. It should be opened from the day after the last ball is kicked in May and closed the day before the season starts. Alternatively scrap the whole thing.
Darthter 542
If the transfer window closed on the 2nd.....you could bet yer hoose that the embargo would also end on the 2nd!!!
