I'd rather we avoided the petty nicknames for people such as McColl and others on here.

The guy has his political beliefs but I'm not convinced they're overly relevant to his purchase of Rangers and he's certainly not a 'nationalist bigot'.

Thanks. :)

Apologies for the terminology used, what else do you call someone who states.

They came from another country and took control, it's time to drive them out.

How would Mr McColl feel if the people of Monaco referred to him in the same manner.

As for his political leanings being relevant, I don't want to see an independence seeking Scottish Nationalist ex pat controlling the direction of our club

Far be it from me to second guess what the guy meant but I think it was more to do with the fact those who assumed control didn't know much about Rangers and/or Scottish football for his 'country' remarks rather than him being a 'nationalist bigot'.

As for his political leanings, SDM is a rather staunch Tory yet, I didn't see much evidence of his politics at the club other than failing to defend the fans. Much like Green did the first time he got a chance to talk about certain traditional songs.

Like I say, let's avoid the pettiness and stick to the facts.

Oh I don't know about that Frankie, he turned a one time world renowned Scottish institution into an economic basket case, sounds like a Tory to me! That kind of work usually gets you a peerage. :)
