an they'll all be pure sh*ting themselves at the thought of playing the "mighty" ceptic.....

Don't kid yourself on that.

None of them will look forward to the games at Parkhead.

No one of us needs reminding that Celtic beat Barcelona last time out.

AC Milan have been at Parkhead 3 times and not won.

Would you bet on Ajax to beat Celtic, I wouldn't.

Barca, Ajax, and AC Milan. Ouch:flipa:

It will not really matter they will still get the cash

Drawing big clubs like that will mean they fill their midden and get maximum gate receipts as well.

Wage bill 2010/11: £32.66m

Difference from 2010: Down £3.82m

Turnover: £52.56m

Wage to turnover ratio: 62%

Celtic's average salary in 2012 was £1,105,163 or £21,253 per week.

Remember not to equate income with profit. Celtic's results for the year ended June 30, 2012, showed a decline in turnover to £51.34m, an increase in operating expenses of £1.93m and an overall loss in the period of £7.37m against a very slight profit the year before. The level of debt rose from £0.53m in June 2011 to £2.77m in June 2012. Not much by our standards but basically all they are doing is breaking even. They may well have done better last year but essentially it's a myth to suggest that they are salting away millions.

What they ARE doing is inversting in a good playing squad but I think it's significant that they have not replaced Wanyama, Hooper & Co with the same high earners.

The big difference from a playing point of view is the wage bill. How far away are we from affording a £30m plus wage outgoing? Everything else is just numbers on paper. They also have another 2 possibly 3 free shots at CL money. We need major investment just to become competitive again, that much is clear.
