Bluedell 5,907
my guess is ahmed wont get the money until the easdales sell them on. an attempt at propping up the price. My guess is that they are not looking to sell.
the gunslinger 3,366
I thought that, then I thought surely your not allowed to prop up a price this way. Am I a bit naive ? probably not. almost certainly not legally. but shorting of shares is legal.
simplythebest 0
cash up to who? Whoever or wherever is needed to get the shares.
Zappa 0
As for Easdale buying shares, expect this to be a regular occurance. My guess is that they are not looking to sell. So you think they'll continue to buy up shares with a view to getting a large shareholding for themselves long-term as opposed to buy them up to sell them on to King or someone like that?
the gunslinger 3,366
i still doubt they have the cash. but i don't know much.
Zappa 0
Can't help wondering where the Easdales are getting the money to buy all these shares, especially if they still have more to buy from Green & maybe the Zeus chap Hughes as well. They don't seem particularly wealthy and certainly not wealthy enough to be buying millions of pounds worth of shares in a loss-making business. I'm also wondering if it's possible that someone else is financing the Easdales as a front and the shares will eventually be transferred to someone else.
chilledbear 16
''I'm also wondering if it's possible that someone else is financing the Easdales as a front and the shares will eventually be transferred to someone else.'' Well if Easdales are thought to be an acceptable front, I daren't think who is is hiding behind them !!

amms 0
If the Easdales put cash up fair play to them. Is that your over-riding criteria for being on our board then? I've seen you post similar about Green too, you're not alone there is a constituency out there who believe 'a well he put up the money' is a reason for supporting someone. I find it an odd view. Tell me, if Dermot Desmond or David Murray decided to buy a big chunk of shares would your response be 'fair play to them'?
