Forfar 2 - 1 Rangers (AET)

The 'sack Ally brigade' are out again. Prior to the match against Forfar, the press, media and others were saying that even if Ally had all his players available, Gers were in for a tough match. As far as I'm concerned Ally's priority is to win Div.1 this season, anything else is a bonus. Next season it's to win the Championship and then Ally should be given a further two seasons to win the Premiership, that only depends if a proper challenge is put in during the first season. If Ally fails, then and only then should he be sacked. As for Charles Green... he should keep his big mouth shut.

I always expected the month of August to be tough. We must now dust ourselves down and ensure we run away with the league, win the ramsdens cup and have a good run in the Scottish cup.

Hate to say "I told you so" after all the "it's only a friendly" quotes, but......., and league yes, but cups, including the Ramsdens, not a hope in hell.

Not sure who was saying that but if away to Forfar is considered a tough match where does the future lie?!! But if we don't see progression on the team in the next 6 matches then Ally shouldn't continue.

Im hearing people say it was difficult windy conditions but people forget players switch around at half time therefore the opposition have the same conditions.

Bizarrely in the first half we played the ball long and high only for it to be continually held up by the wind, come second half with the wind behind us we started playing the ball on the deck!

"Last year's team" including 4 internationals weren't good enough to beat Forfar; they were up for it from the kick-off and we weren't, simples. We had plenty of pressure in the second half but the only time we threatened was when McCulloch went up front; a certain 37 year old CB had Little in his pocket until then.
